Soap Orchard Bath Soaks are made with a mixture of Solar Salts, Dead Sea Salt, Epsom Salts, Essential Oils and Botanicals. Solar salt is produced through the natural evaporation of sea water and naturally occurring brine. Salt water is captured in shallow ponds and allowed to evaporate by means of the sun and wind. During the process, a salt bed forms on the bottom of the pond. The salt is harvested, washed, screened and packaged. The typical solar "crop” takes from one to five years to produce.
As well as magnesium, Epsom Salts deliver a healthy dose of sulfates, which while difficult to obtain through food, are readily absorbed through the skin. Sulfates play a vital role in formation of brain tissue as well as joint proteins and mucin proteins which line the walls of the digestive tract. Sulfates also stimulate the pancreas to generate digestive enzymes which detoxify the body of environmental contaminants and medicine residues.
